八 木 夕 菜 Yuna YAGI
現代美術家
2004年 ニューヨーク・パーソンズ美術大学建築学部卒業。現在は京都を拠点に活動。視覚を揺さぶる平面や立体作品、インスタレーションを用い、「見る」という行為の体験を通して物事の真理を追求する。
主な展覧会に、Pola Museum Annex 銀座「NOWHERE」(2018)、「BLANC/BLACK」(2019)、KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭「種覚ゆ/The Records of Seeds」(2021)、√K Contemporary「視/覚の偏/遍在」(2022)など。「KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭」ポートフォリオ・レビュー 最優秀ハッセルブラッド賞 (2016) 受賞、パリ国際現代写真アートフェア、FOTOFEVER (2017) 招待作家として選出。金沢21世紀美術館に作品所蔵（2022）
Yuna Yagi
Contemporary Artist
With a focus on the “experience” of seeing, Yuna Yagi strives for the truth of things via her multi-faceted production. She is best known for her two-dimensional and three-dimensional works and installations, which appeal to the senses, and use of a variety of materials. She is graduated from Parsons School of Art, Architecture Department New York in 2004, and has spanned the globe throughout her career.
Her major exhibitions include “NOWHERE” at the Pola Museum Annex Ginza (2018), “BLANC/BLACK” (2019), “The Records of Seeds” for KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival (2021).
Major awards included the Hasselblad Award at the “KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival” Portfolio Review (2017). Invited to participate at the Paris International Contemporary Photography Art Fair, FOTOFEVE (2019), and was nominated for the Eberhaard Awards. “The Records of Seeds” was selected for the collection of 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa (2022).
