Fragments of Earthは、ある1枚の風景写真を画質が崩れる限界まで拡大した後に49分割し、分割された画像を49個のアクリルブロックにプリントした作品シリーズである。画像がピクセルの集合体であるのと同じように、美しい風景もまた、石や塵などが時間や関係性の中で変化しながら、それらの集合体によって形成されていく。それは宇宙に散りばめられた謎を読み解くパズルのようである。
Fragments of Earth is a series of works in which a single landscape photograph is enlarged to the limit where the image of the quality collapsed, then divided into 49 sections, and those divided images are printed on 49 acrylic blocks.
In the same way that an image is a collection of pixels, a beautiful landscape is also formed by a collection of stones and dust, changing over time and relationships. It is like a puzzle to decipher the mysteries scattered in the universe.
